Thanksgiving was fun for once (we ate at a relative's house, not a restaurant... for the first time in at least 5 years!), and at one point my cousin Danny and I were the only ones at the table who weren't wearing glasses. My sis has a habit of not wearing hers, and she claims she needs contacts (she's just afraid that if she wears glasses, it might have some uncool side effects like increased IQ, an obsession with computers, a tendency to spend too much time playing D&D and watching anime, etc.). But people in my family have had horrid experiences with contacts, so I doubt she'll get them any time soon. So she'll just have to put up with looking "geeky" for a while. HA! The funny thing is, I'm the geekiest person in the family (aside from my dad, but he's another breed of geek) and I'm one of the only ones without glasses. Perfect vision is almost unheard of among my clan, yet somehow I was gifted with it. I guess that makes up for my other deficiencies... my sense of smell is very weak, my ears have been malfunctioning since I was born, and I'm insanely clumsy. But I can see! I am the envy of almost all of my family and friends. Fwahahahahahahahaahaaaaaa! *is bludgeoned to death by a mob of blind and semi-blind people*
Anyway, Moccasin's foot seems to be healing. His cage may go in my room tonight since he hates being alone. Maybe I'll sneak him out of the cage so he can snuggle in bed with me like the good old days (only a few months ago) when he was a tiny kitten. As long as he sits or lays down, he'll be fine.
And now, to unpack, wash stuff, repack, and go to bed.
