"I'm a nun - I'm a penguin!"

(no subject)

More crazy dreams to report!

I was sitting on the couch at home, and 3 cats were with me. One was Belle, my little black kitty, another was Emma, an obese tabby, who was my "nurse cat" from the time I was born until she died when I was 14, and I didn't recognize the other one (it looked like a regular-sized tan cat). They were all trying to sit on my lap at the same time. I was really happy to see Emma again, and I was paying special attention to her (for some reason it seemed perfectly normal that she was back from the dead). Only two cats could barely fit on my lap at the same time, so I ended up with Emma and the other cat on my lap, and I was sitting on top of Belle but propping myself up with my arms so I wouldn't squish her. Then I guess I rolled over a bit and all the cats were gone. I wondered where they had morphed to (I think I was vaguely aware that I was asleep in bed, but my unconscious was still at work).

In the next part, I was in a library or bookstore with my dad and Katie. There were a couple books we were looking at, and I saw this book that said "Ade" on it and another below it that was supposedly the sequel, called something like "Hairy Ade" (the books were NOT about me, and I don't know why the second one had that title). I was reading the back of the "Hairy Ade" book, and it was really weird, the author was talking about how he was going to do all sorts of crazy things with the book, and there was lots of profanity. Katie wanted to read the book but I told her not to. I read the first one, and it was about a little girl named Ade, only it wasn't me, and her name was pronounced "Ed" or something. She was about 4 or 5 in the book, though she acted like a teenager. At one point the book sort of turned into a movie and I saw her with her father. She had short, thin, baby-like hair that was almost white. She lived with her father, who was this big fat guy, and her mom (who she rarely saw) was a lesbian. She had all sorts of adventures, and it was quite an interesting book.

Then the dream got really bizarre. I was at this place that was supposedly my friend's house (I won't say who, let's call him Frank), and another one of my friends (let's call him Rocky) was there. They were... together. They were fully-clothed, but they were touching each other and kissing, and it was just weird. As far as I know, they're both straight and platonic friends in real life, so it was really freaky seeing them like that in the dream. Bad imagination! *smacks head to get the nasty ideas out* Anyway, so I was talking to "Frank's" mom while he and "Rocky" were off doing... stuff. And "Frank's" mom looked suspiciously like my mom. She said that she had a 13-year-old daughter named Katie, and I said that I had a 13-year-old sister named Katie. Then I asked her if she had any other daughters, and she said she had an older one but didn't remember her. Then it occurred to me that she was my long-lost mother (long-lost indeed... I knew she was, but she didn't know I was her daughter). That meant that "Frank" was my brother. That idea sounds rather hilarious now that I'm awake, since "Frank" and I have a weird sort of friendship (not weird as in slightly romantic, weird as in we act weirder than usual around each other... I won't explain it, or some of you will know who I'm talking about and think I'm gross for picturing him in a gay relationship with a certain friend of his who will also remain completely anonymous since... I'll just go back to describing the dream now). Anyway, I was going to tell "Frank" that he was my brother, and then Katie showed up and something happened that I don't remember. Then I was reading "Frank's" LJ (I know he has one, but he's not on my friends list even though he should be - I'm not sure he wants me reading his journal). There was this big yearbook-like thing of people's journals, and I was flipping through it looking for one of his entries. Then there was supposedly this big LJ party at a restaurant/bookstore, and I went in and saw rooms and rooms of books. Then I woke up.

And now, back to reality. My mom just called to check up on me and harassed me about not going outside, keeping the blinds open, and going to bed too late. Oh well.

Um... nothing really interesting happened today. Just the dreams this morning. Goodbye.
