Dil Domicile

(no subject)

I changed my cell phone number (my family went on a family plan to save money). If I didn't email or tell it to you and you want it, let me know and I'll give it to you. Provided I know you, that is.

I went to the Pittsburgh Knitting Festival over the weekend. It was quite fun, I must say. It's always good to commune with those who understand the obsession, people who won't tell me I knit too much. Only other knitters seem to understand. It's kind of like the difference between writers and non-writers, artists and non-artists, creative types and non-creative types.

My sister called to bug me to get a new laptop as soon as possible so she can have my desktop. Her laptop recently died, I've been thinking about getting a laptop for a few months now, and my dad was thinking that I could get a laptop and give my desktop to her. I was just thinking about getting one in a couple months, not right away, and I'm definitely not ready to part with my current computer. I told her I was downloading pictures to my computer, and she said, "you mean my computer." I don't think so, missy. Don't get your hopes up, this is my machine. She has no patience and acts like I'm such a jerk for leaving her without a machine for "homework" (and by that, she means IMing people all day). Well, she can whine all she wants, but I'm not ready to fork it over. I don't think I want to part with it at all, actually. I just put in a new graphics card, and everything is configured the way I like it. I was only going to get a laptop for the convenience and portability. I didn't think this would be a huge issue for anybody, but apparently the drama queen is dying from IM withdrawal and thinks she can just usurp my machine because I was considering getting a new one. No siree. The more you push me, the firmer my feet stay in the ground.

Also, Tommy's Naked Soda is delicious. If you haven't tried it, you should. They just started carrying it at Food For a Healthy Life in Meadville (and if you haven't been there yet, go, for they carry good stuff and the owner, Sherry, is so nice and knows all her customers by name). Also, you gotta love the cartoon nude beach on the label and the clothing-draped moose.
