Moccasin eating spaghetti

(no subject)

I had an adventure in Pittsburgh today. I had a gift certificate for Ewe Can Knit, so my mom and I went there, and I got a few skeins of wool yarn. I don't know what I want to make with it, but I want to felt something, because it would look cool. Next door, there was a stationery/office supplies/paper/etc. store. We went in, and there was this big old Maine Coon cat by the doorway that talked to us. He had such an interesting, beautiful look to him and looked at me with the most intelligent, knowing eyes. I had heard of the breed but never seen one up close before. He just had this amazing look to him, and those eyes... I should make a Maine Coon cat a story character sometime (not for my novel though - Thunder is a black American shorthair).

After lunch, we went to Whole Foods, because neither of us had been there before and wanted to go. Wow. I must say, that's the awesomest supermarket I've ever been to. They had such interesting things, and we were just piling the cart with nifty goodies. I've never seen so many varieties of cheese, either. If I didn't abhor driving in Pittsburgh and didn't mind spending a lot of money on groceries, I'd totally do all my grocery shopping there.
