Dating for nerds! Oh, the advertisements you see in Scientific American... (yeah, I was flipping through Nerdular Nerdence because there was a copy in the family room...)
My pirate name:
Calico Anne Bonney
Often indecisive, you can't even choose a favorite color. You're apt to follow wherever the wind blows you, just like Calico Jack Rackham, your namesake. You can be a little bit unpredictable, but a pirate's life is far from full of certainties, so that fits in pretty well. Arr!
Yep, that's pretty accurate. I like rainbows!
I went car-shopping with my mom today, and I looked at this cute Toyota Echo. Dark green, relatively adjustable seats (very important for someone of my stature), lots of trunk space (my first thought upon looking in the trunk was, "Wow, you could fit a body in there!"), just nifty. I'll do some more looking around, then have some test drives. We'll see. When I first got there, the guy offered me a red convertible, but... uh... convertibles really aren't my thing. Neither are red cars. But the Echo was pretty neat, I'll keep that one in mind.
I also got a haircut. Meh, I hate those. Nothing different, but I've got to stop pulling and breaking my hair. Maybe I'll leave it alone if I dye it purple.
The hairdresser was talking about knitting, and it made me want to knit. I'm working on the cat bed and a hat with kitty ears right now, and a couple days ago I made a wristband and sent it to Ben along with the latest issue of Golem. After I finish this cat bed, I'll have some black and turquoise yarn and furry yarn left over, so I'm contemplating things to do with it. I'll probably make more wristbands (hey, they're quick and only use a little bit of yarn) or some exciting underwear (like the Castle Anthrax ladies) or a furry whip or something. Well, maybe not a furry whip, I just found that idea amusing.
