Grandma: And don't lie to your grandmother!
Ade: I wasn't lying! I didn't know when they were coming back, and the sun hasn't gone down yet so it's still afternoon, and they might come back before the sun goes down.
Grandma: Don't argue with your grandmother!
Ade: Ok then. You're right, I'm wrong, end of story.
Grandma: That's better.
Heh. My grandma is funny.
1) Spell your name with band names:
2) Have you ever had a song written about you?
Yeah! It's called the "Ade" song, and you basically substitute the notes of the song with the name "Ade." This works great with classical music, but my favorite rendition is to the tune of the Beetlejuice theme. I credit Megan with coming up with this. And sometimes my friends make up funny random songs about me too.
3) What song(s) makes you cry?
Jewel - Painters (too sad and sweet for me)
4) What song(s) makes you happy?
The Dragon Half ending theme
Hedwig and the Angry Inch - Wig in a Box
Tori Amos - Cornflake Girl (I don't know why, but this song makes me want to prance around happily... especially after watching the American video with the sexy cowboy)
Rocky Horror - Sweet Transvestite
5) What song(s) relates to your life?
Tori Amos - Silent All These Years, Winter, A Sorta Fairytale, Mary, etc.
Michelle Branch - All You Wanted, I'd Rather Be In Love
Avril Lavigne - Mobile, Things I'll Never Say
Bouncing Souls - You're So Rad
Jewel - Hands
Raffi - I Wonder If I'm Growing (ha)
6) What do you like to listen to before bed?
whatever I feel like before I shut Damnyou down
----THINGS YOU CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT----
Something important on your desk: I'm sure I could live without everything currently on my desk, I can always replace the items. But I suppose the one I need the most is the computer monitor, followed closely by the panda ears *grins*
When you sleep you wear: t-shirts and pajama pants
If you could afford it at the moment, you would buy: a castle
Something you don't have a lot of: height (but I compensate in many ways!)
If your house was burning and you could only save 3 items what would they be: assuming my cats and bird and family could get out, my computer tower, digital camera, and as many photo albums/boxes as I could carry
If there were no side effects, you would enjoy being addicted to: looooooooove
A time when you purposely hurt someone emotionally: Well, I was mean to some people back when I was younger... I still feel terribly guilty.
A time you accidentally hurt someone emotionally: I teased a friend about a story he wrote... I had no idea it would hurt him, and when he finally told me that it upset him (about a year and a half later), I felt really horrible about it and apologized a zillion times.
One person you have killed in your thoughts: The Loch Nesset Monster, occasionally my dad
Three traits you look for in a friend: nice, intelligent, and at least a bit quirky (downright weird is good)
Who makes you laugh most often: Megan, Kathy (on the rare occasion I see her), my sister
A friend who you can tell anything: well, there isn't really a friend I tell anything since I tend to keep things private, but I think I tell the most to Megan
A friend you can go to for advice: I avoid doing that
The best piece of advice you had been given: never mess with a horny virgin (thanks, Spam!)
Two closest friends: hmmm... I'd say Megan and Ben
The friend who uses most of your energy: Spam... I often feel really tired if I spend more than about half an hour with her (love you anyway, dearie)
Someone who knows the most about your inner personality: hmmm... probably Megan
A friend who loves you no matter what: gee, I hope they all would... and I think at least most of my good friends would.
Your 3 best qualities: my imagination, I like doing nice things for people (it makes me feel better about myself), and my inability to grow up
Your 3 worst qualities: my lack of social skills, passiveness, and lack of common sense
Describe your Ideal self: physically - pretty much how I look now with a full head of purple hair (I'll dye it this fall if I can get someone to help me and my housemates don't mind having a purple bath tub), no annoying cowlick, and a few other minor changes, mentally/emotionally - less socially inept, better at speaking my mind, more assertive, and much less indecisive
You are embarrassed when: ordering alcoholic beverages, apparently
The greatest emotional pain you ever endured: feeling like your life is pointless, the future holds nothing for you, you're a burden to others, life will be endless pain, you have to leave your friends behind and attempt to make new ones even though you have no social skills... basically the summer after high school... and healing from an appendectomy plus a followup infection really made it worse
Emotion you hide most: despair
The emotion you tend to experience most: I'm very easily amused
The emotion you are feeling most lately: a mix of boredom, curiosity, melancholiness, and amusement
You have a huge amount of guilt regarding: being mean to others in the past
When you are angry you need: to get away from people, listen to music, and play a computer game that will get my mind off whatever I'm angry about
When you are sentimental you need: to go to bed so I'll hopefully snap out of it in the morning
When you are in love you need: to not set myself up to get hurt
One of your most peaceful memories: cuddling with certain friends
One of your most tragic memories: watching Nana deteriorate from a healthy, active, happy woman to a fragile, dying creature. Stupid lung cancer. Smoking is evil.
One of your angriest memories: I got up and walked out of church when I was around 16 because the sermon made me feel unwelcome and said my religion was a "false source of wisdom" and other things. I was pretty angry and hurt, but luckily my friend CJ was there and made me feel better.
A memory that makes you laugh: that time at the writers' house during sophomore year when Ben, Nick, and I were alone in the living room and turned the furniture backwards, turned a poster upside down, put a shoe in the fridge, did somethingorother to a stuffed animal, and waited until the writers' house people returned. They didn't notice the poster until 2 days later.
A memory that makes you happy: coming home last year to find a tiny kitten (Moccasin) waiting for me
Something someone can say or do that you find extremely attractive: kiss the back of my hand (I'm a sucker for chivalry... it makes me blush and giggle)
Something someone can say or do that you find unattractive: smoke... it's just... blech.
Two things appealing about people: when they're really nice and really smart in a natural, non-condescending way
A personality trait you find appealing: a strong inner child (and by that I mean playful, imaginative, and fun, not bratty, immature, and stupid)
Your secret passion: gee, everyone knows I have a thing for geekboys... what else? Oh yeah. Girls with long red hair wearing long swishy skirts... so pretty...
What you enjoy most about having a committed relationship: I don't know, I've never had one. I think I'd like the sense of closeness.
If you had more patience you would: finish the things I start
If you could change one thing about your physical appearance what would it be: ummm... not going to tell anyone that
If you had no commitments what would you be doing: the same thing I'm doing right now - filling out surveys! Weee, my life is so exciting.
If you could have one super power what would it be: I could flyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!
If you could start all over... I wouldn't make so many stupid stupid mistakes
