I watched Big Fish with my mom last night. Such a great movie, pure genius. And I liked all the quirky characters along the way, like the giant, the strange little girl, the witch with the fortune-telling glass eye, the ringmaster werewolf, the Siamese twins... it was all really interesting. And I've been reading "Beautiful Boys," by Francesca Lia Block. I finished "Missing Angel Juan" this morning, and it was amazing. It really captured the feeling of possessive longing and how scary it can be. And the need to let go sometimes. Witch Baby reminds me of myself in some ways (and we both have curly toes, which is nifty). And the Cake guy with his mannequin obsession... it was freaky yet cool at the same time, and I want an underground maze full of all sorts of mannequins! And mer-mannequins! I only have two mannequins. Alice and Ken (but Ken is just one of those little wooden poseable artist mannequins, so he doesn't really count).

And tomorrow is the second Alpha reading with Tamora Pierce! Weeeee! Tammy is awesome. She's so... weird. She reminds me of me 30 years from now. Even though I can't really tell if I'll still be alive and what I'll be like then, since I'm constantly "evolving" (What? Ade is evolving! Ade evolved into... um... Slightly Awesomer Ade!). Cool grownups give me hope for the future that I will never become boring.

a) I don't think I'm pessimistic and destructive. I'm more neutral-istic (stuff happens) and creative. I like making stuff, though sometimes I like breaking stuff (insignificant, replaceable stuff) and taking things apart.
b) Learning as an escape from living? What's that supposed to mean? Isn't living about learning?
c) Uncertain sexual identity, eh?
d) Yes, I do lack self-control and organization, but I'm not a compulsive rebel. I'm chaotic good (with a splash of evil-in-a-mischievous-way), not chaotic neutral, and I prefer to set my own rules, thankyouverymuch.
e) Finally, I'm balanced in something. Weeee!
