Yesterday I watched Vanya on 42nd Street for my Forms of Drama class. I didn't really care for the movie (I just didn't particularly like Uncle Vanya, the play it was based on), though Wallace Shawn played Vanya. It was funny because everyone recognized him from The Princess Bride (he played Vizzini, the evil Sicilian who always said "inconceivable!"), and during one of Vanya's rages, some guy yelled "inconceivable!" and got us all laughing.
I went grocery shopping today (hooray for food!), then to the pet store to pick up some rodent chow. I love going to the pet store. It's always a treat, not a chore. I always have to look around at the lizards, birds, rats, bunnies, fish, etc. They have a triggerfish there, not a humuhumunukunukuapua'a, but from the same family. Similar build, but the markings are different and its name isn't as much fun to say. I really like it. If I had $40 and all the aquarium supplies, I'd get it. But no, 2 rats is enough. Although fish are very legal to have. But I'll just have to settle for the humuhumunukunukuapua'a postcard on the bulletin board above my bed.
At the Argo meeting, I found out that Tekkoshocon is going to be at the Expomart in Monroeville this year. That's only a 15-minute drive from my house. I also found out that Dr. Baros is also from Murrysville/Export. Cool. Tekkoshocon is the weekend before my comp is due. Hehehe. Watch me go crazygonuts! After the meeting, I went to the Shrove Tuesday pancake supper upstairs. I had pancakes yesterday, but that's ok. Nothing wrong with pancakes 2 days in a row! They had lots of free food and dinky little prizes and stuff. It reminded me of that church pancake supper around 5 years ago when I met my friend CJ. Interesting times. And Nick just left to see the play "The Turning of the Screw" (I'm not going, because I'm a devout Tuesday grouper) and deposited some Mardi Gras beads around my neck.
I'm going to get working on my comp tonight after Tuesday group. Seriously.
