Today I had an editorial phone meeting with Francesca that lasted over 2 hours, and we finally hung up because we were brain-dead and starving. I went to go get something to eat, but I was cranky in a hyper-and-laughing-a-lot sort of way (I was sick of doing Faerie Nation stuff and talking on the phone too long, and when I'm cranky I'm either bitchy or laughing maniacally a lot and scaring people). I didn't want leftovers and figured, "screw reasonably healthy food, I want mac and cheese!" So while I was making it, the phone rang. It was Kathy, who I hadn't seen or talked to in like 4 years. So we caught up and stuff, and it was a nice distraction from crankiness. And the mac and cheese was delicious.

Dude has been hanging out in my room almost all day. He only left once for a little bit, then came back. He's been sleeping on my bed, mostly, and being friendly. I'll have to scrunch around him when I go to bed. You see, normal people would move the cat so they could stretch out, and then the cat would scrunch around them. But me, I'll let the cat stretch out over half the bed and scrunch around him. Like the time a few years ago when I went sleepwalking for some reason and woke up the next morning in the guest room bed... curled up around this giant mirror that was taking up most of the bed space.
