Every time my mom has introduced me to someone in the past week or so, she always says, "this is my daughter, Aaaaaa-driiiii-eeeeeenne," really emphasizing and enunciating it. Even though everyone calls me Ade, and it's not like they're going to remember my full name, no matter how she says it. I have lots of friends who don't know my full name. Plus, Ade is shorter and easier to remember. Like me, I'm short and easy to remember. But I think it's hilarious how she introduces me now. Next time I introduce her to someone, I think I'll say, "This is my mom, Jjjjjjjjjjaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnneeeeeeeeeee. But everyone calls her Bonnie."
