Writer's Block: Sharing Haikus

Best compliment I've received today: "You are the most non-emo person I've ever met." (Thanks, Megan!)

Here, have some non-emo song lyrics (yay Hannah Montana!):

With a new attitude, everything can change.
Make it how you want it to be.
Staying mad, why do that?
Give youself a break.
Laugh about it and you'll see.
Life's what you make it,
So lets make it rock!

And some non-emo (but still pretty bad) poetry:

The Japanese haiku poet Basho once wrote, "Old pond / a frog jumps / the sound of water." Try writing some of your own haikus about the little things in your life. A haiku generally consists of a five-syllable line, a seven-syllable line and a second five-syllable line. You can also use any combination of ten-to-fourteen syllables.

kittens mew hello
snorgling under my chin
so warm and fuzzy

my coworker gave
me some M&Ms today
I like chocolate

Megan just called me
and talked about Obama
(don't bomb a llama)
