1. I was up at Allegheny, walking along North Main. One of the houses they tore down to build that parking lot by Caflisch was still there, only it was charred black, and there were empty door and window frames. I went over and looked inside, and it was set up like a classroom in there. On one end, my yellow chair (which is in my living room) was there, or one identical to it. On one of the blackboards, someone had drawn a picture of me sitting in the yellow chair, and there was a note on the board that was something like a memorial to the writers' house. I thought it was kind of weird that someone had drawn me on the board and my yellow chair was there, but I felt really happy and nostalgic for the writers' house. Then one of my coworkers came in and said that she had done the drawing.
2. I was going to Pennsic and wondering how it was August again already. I unloaded my stuff and realized I had brought everything but my tent (which is kind of crucial), so I'd have to go back and get it. I think I ended up piling my stuff in the corner of someone else's tent for the time being. Then Andy came over and handed me a note that said something like, "Meet me in the woods at 10 or 11 pm, and I'll pick up your items if you die." I knew that had to be a Runescape reference, although it would be impossible to play Runescape at Pennsic unless you had one of those computer devices where you can get internet anywhere.
I like lazy weekends.
