Writer's Block: Long Nights, Short Poems

It's the 21st of December, and so far, the only presents I've bought were one for the office gift exchange and a book for my cousin Kara (she's 9 now, so I figure it's time to give her a Tammy book). I hate shopping, and I always put it off until the last minute. I'll probably end up hitting Walmart at 2 am on Tuesday or Wednesday. Then there won't be many people there.

I visited Nick today. We mostly just played board games and stuff. Not much else to do, I guess.

I think my new favorite children's book title is "All Cats Have Asperger Syndrome." I had to buy it, because it's amazing. It basically describes many aspie characteristics (focusing more on the positive or interesting ones) and has funny pictures of cats. It's great. And yeah, my cats totally have Asperger's.

I'm also reading "The Tales of Beedle the Bard." I like Dumbledore's commentary.

It's the winter solstice in the Northern hemisphere, summer solstice in the Southern hemisphere, and Haiku Day in the U.S. Does that inspire you to write a three-line poem with five syllables in the first and last lines and seven in the middle line?

No, no it doesn't
I do like winter solstice
But no haikus, thanks
